The BUCKSNORT Newsletter actually started as a farce, when founder Andrew Lewand was having a joke with his wife's uncle Bob Lamberson. Lewand mailed Bob a one page newspaper facsimile depicted Lewand's hunting triumphs. Somehow, other locals gained exposure to the "joke" and the next you you know, BUCKSNORT had it's own cult following. Nowadays, the newsletter has taken major steps to providing serious information to area hunters, while still containing the light hearted humor that gave it's initial appeal and interest.



The BUCKSNORT Newsletter is published two times a year. The Fall issue deals primarily with the upcoming deer season, and includes an entry form for the BUCKSNORT "CLASSIC" Whitetail Contest. The Spring issue contains all information on turkey hunting, and contains an entry form for the ever popular "May Madness turkey Challenge"
